18th Annual Robert Geronemus Memorial Renal Research Competition
The Florida Society of Nephrology is pleased to announce our continued support of Nephrology Residents and Fellows in Florida, as well as our ongoing recognition of a distinguished leader in our field.
The 18th Annual Robert Geronemus Memorial Renal Research Competition will take place during the 2026 FSN Annual Meeting, January 16-18, 2026 at the Hilton West Palm Beach.
The Program Committee will select the two finalists to present their
research during the Annual Meeting. The FSN will provide accommodations and prize money for the finalists. Residents/Fellows not chosen as a finalist will be provided an opportunity to display their research in poster format during the conference.
The Florida Society of Nephrology invites PGY2 and 3 Internal Medicine Residents as well as Nephrology fellows in Florida training programs to submit their research for consideration in the Geronemus Research Competition.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the Miami-Dade County Medical Association and The Florida Society of Nephrology. The Miami-Dade County Medical Association is accredited by the Florida Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Dade County Medical Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 5.0 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.*
