On April 15, RPA sent a letter to national organizations representing hospitals and health insurers in the U.S. urging them to dismiss policies that would limit ESRD patient access to intensive care units (ICUs) and other emergent care.

 

RPA’s letter discussed the negative impact such a policy would have on kidney transplant candidates and young patients with ESRD, and the inequitable and discriminatory nature of the policy.
